Today, Olivia, Paul and Kuldip hosted a free CPR training event at the Blaby District Council Offices. The purpose of this session, was to teach the local community how to do CPR, how to use a Defibrillator (AED) and also basic first aid including choking.
These training events offer the community to ask questions, about our role but also general first aid emergencies. As well as this, it's about building up the confidence to help someone in a medical emergency. Did you know in over 4,000 people, who knew how to perform CPR, 30% of those would not feel confident in doing CPR. This is why attending our training sessions, even if you are already familiar with CPR, is important, so we can help you keep up that confidence. - We always say, it's better to try, than do nothing at all.
It was a fantastic turn out, with lots of positive feedback from attendees, and we hope to see even more next time.
